For immediate release
San Francisco, CA February 25, 1998
Following the success of its design of the official Web site for the Nagano Winter Olympic Games, Studio Archetype, a leading provider of corporate identity, brand strategy and Web site development services, today announces it will expand its international presence by opening new offices in Brazil and Australia.
"A global economy means Studio Archetype needs a global vision to reach new clients, and service current ones on an international scale," said Mark Crumpacker, CEO and Executive Creative Director of Studio Archetype. "We selected Brazil and Australia because both markets have dynamic economies and strong rates of Internet connectivity which in turn will mean a strong demand for our services."
"The Web embraces the planet, and so should we," adds Clement Mok, Founder and Chief Information Architect of Studio Archetype. "As the number of global media outlets explodes, businesses need to insure their brands' message isn't lost in the din."
Today's announcement is the latest in a series of strategic expansions for Studio Archetype. Since Crumpacker's appointment as CEO in 1995, the privately held company has experienced a 100% growth in revenue with a similar rise projected for 1998. Last year the company opened offices in Atlanta and New York to handle the new business and requests for local support.
Heading-up Studio Archetype's newest offices are marketing professionals Rob Debelle and Flavio Constantino. "Rob and Flavio are poised to deliver the same service that has earned the Studio its reputation for innovative excellence over the last decade," Crumpacker says. "They're the best."
Constantino, a Brazilian marketing communications expert, will be Studio Archetype's independent representative in that country. His focus is on business development in the banking, insurance service, electronic and technology industries. He will be based in Sao Paulo, the country's largest city.
Debelle, founder of Debelle Media Services in Australia, will lead Studio Archetype's efforts there. Debelle will develop and expand new business practices in the fields of e-commerce, medical information systems, Web events and information and financial systems. He will be based in Sydney.
Both offices will play key roles in bringing Studio Archetype's innovative branding and marketing expertise to the international marketplace. Called creative integration, the practice integrates brand and business strategy, software engineering and design to enable companies to build, extend and transform their business by maximizing their investment in both traditional and emerging media. Effective design, implemented in both old and new visual environments, enhances an individual's experience with a particular product and results in a stronger relationship between the consumer and the brand.
Studio Archetype opened its doors a decade ago to help emerging technology companies build their brand across a variety of media. Formerly Clement Mok designs, the Studio now employs more than 120 people in five offices around the world. Studio Archetype has a diverse and prestigious roster of international clients including IBM, American Express, Caterpillar, 3Com, Nintendo, Netscape, NationsBank, Johnson & Johnson, UPS, QVC, and Revo.
